Domaine de Segermès — exceptional organic olive oil from
At a glance
Domaine de Segermès is a family estate founded in 1950, operated by the company Biolive, on the site of the ancient Roman city of Segermès, in the Zaghouan governorate (north-eastern Tunisia). Taken over around 2014 by Mounir Boussetta, it produces single-variety organic olive oils and wild-olive oil, distributed to fine-dining restaurants and gourmet grocers, notably in France. The brand has been Ecocert-certified since 2011 and multi-awarded internationally.
Overview
Domaine de Segermès spans 300 hectares and has around 15,000 olive trees, some of them two centuries old. The estate takes its name from the ancient Roman city of Segermès and is located in the Zaghouan governorate (the Bouachir area, near Zriba), between the Zaghouan massif and the Bouficha plain, about an hour south of Tunis.
Founded in 1950, the estate was taken over by Mounir Boussetta, heir to the family estate, around 2014, through the company Biolive "Domaine de Segermès." The mill/oil works was designed by the Tunisian architect Adel Hidar, a work recognized at the Carthage Architecture Days. The brand's storytelling draws on this Roman heritage, the two-century-old olive trees and an oleotourism dimension (tasting room, contemporary architecture).
Range & varieties
The estate grows Chetoui, Chemlali, Beldi and works with the wild olive (oleaster).
The documented range includes:

Markets & distribution
According to the sources, the estate is present:
- In Tunisia: e-shop, gourmet grocers, wine merchants, butchers;
- In France: fine-dining restaurants (Passerini, Jardin des Plumes, La Grande Cascade), distribution via Gastronomico, gourmet grocers and wine merchants;

Positioning
Domaine de Segermès positions itself in the premium / high-end, 100% organic segment: exceptional single-variety olive oils, cold extraction, heritage storytelling (Roman city, two-century-old olive trees) and oleotourism (tasting, signature architecture). The targeting aims at fine dining (starred chefs) and niche export, outside mass retail.
Ethical FOMO note
Domaine de Segermès shows how a Tunisian terroir, a Roman history and carefully crafted architecture can raise an oil to starred tables. This is the fruit of heritage work that we fully respect.
